Colors with Recycling

Colors are one of the first things preschoolers learn. Recognizing the colors and identifying the color names is an important part of a child’s development. Teaching the colors through recycling is a very unusual but great and unique way to do it. Now, you may think recycling is boring for children or that they are too small for it, but recycling is for everyone! First of all it is a good practice for the environment, it teaches valuable skills such as responsibility and it teaches children to care about were they live and understand that resources are not limitless. The way colors are introduced through this mechanism of teaching is by linking the act of sorting and association to colors and materials. Kids learn to identify, recognize and classify the colors! Here are some examples of fun crafts, and games for children to learn colors with recycling.
